Access & Eligibility

Health care organizations with a physical location in Ontario who receive at least some funding from the following public sources are eligible to receive free training from Your Health Space: Ontario Health, Ontario’s Ministry of Health, and Ontario’s Ministry of Long-Term Care. If you have questions about the eligibility of your organization, please Contact Us.

Organizations who do not qualify for free training through Your Health Space will be notified by our team following review of your submitted online request form. This determination may be due to your organization not receiving public funding or offering services that fall outside the program’s current scope. We understand this may be disappointing and apologize for any inconvenience.

However, your organization may be eligible to receive training from CMHA Ontario’s Mental Health Works. This initiative is open to all sectors and offers practical, evidence-based training that addresses common workplace mental health challenges. Mental Health Works is designed to foster psychologically healthy and safe environments through awareness-building, stigma reduction, and collaborative strategies.

While our live training sessions are designed to be presented to teams of individuals from the same organization, Your Health Space offers individual health care workers access to our e-Learning platform with quarterly opportunities to register.

Booking, Planning & Scheduling

Completing the online request form is the first step in the registration process. Upon receiving your submission, our team will review your responses to determine if your organization is eligible to receive free Your Health Space training. Following this step, a member of our team will connect with you to schedule an intake meeting, the purpose of which is to learn more about your organization and how Your Health Space can support your team. After this conversation, you will be asked to review and sign a Client Agreement. You can then begin selecting and scheduling trainings for your team.

Due to the high volume of training requests, and subject to trainer availability, organizations can expect training to be scheduled approximately 4 – 8 weeks from their intake meeting.

The Client Agreement is a legal document that outlines the expectations for relationship between Your Health Space and an organization. It includes information about the development of a training plan, scheduling considerations, cancellations, copyright materials, and liability.

Yes, submitting the request form identifies you as the main point of contact for your organization. Should there be a change in representatives, we would be happy to provide a written introduction email that you can share with the appropriate person to support a smooth handoff.

At Your Health Space, we understand the demands of working in health care, so we aim to make your workload as light as possible! We handle Zoom setup for virtual training sessions, send Outlook invitations with all training details, and provide promotional materials like flyers or posters. We can also meet with leadership teams to help introduce the program and ensure there’s strong support for rollout across your organization.

Training sessions can be booked between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. (EST) to help accommodate a variety of team schedules and shifts.

Although CMHA Ontario’s main office is in downtown Toronto, the Your Health Space training team is fully remote. Our team is located across all Ontario Health regions – Central, East, North East, North West, Toronto, and West – allowing us to support health care organizations throughout the province.

Training Format, Delivery & Costs

Your Health Space is fully funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Health and is available at no cost to your organization regardless of if the training is delivered in person or virtually.

Your Health Space offers a variety of formats to meet the needs of Ontario’s health care organizations. Please complete the online request form to begin the registration process, or Contact Us to be connected with the Regional Coordinator in your area to learn more about how we can accommodate your team.

Yes, we do offer training in French! Please complete the online request form or Contact Us to be connected with the Regional Coordinator in your area to learn more about trainings currently available in French.

To foster a safe, respectful, and fully engaged learning environment, Your Health Space training sessions are intentionally offered live and are never recorded. The real-time format allows participants to engage openly with sensitive and personal topics – something that recorded or AI-assisted formats can compromise.

To protect this space, the use of recording tools or AI plug-ins for capturing, transcribing, or simulating attendance is strictly prohibited. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to explore alternative training options for those unable to attend.

A webinar is a 1-hour training that offers an introduction to a topic and is mostly presentation-based with some opportunity for reflection and engagement. A workshop is a longer training (length varies – 2 hours or more) that allows for deeper learning through more interaction, discussion, and applied activities. Both can be delivered virtually or in person.

While we can’t guarantee a specific trainer for your training, each of our trainers is experienced in delivering engaging, high-quality training sessions. If you have any concerns about a trainer, please connect with the Regional Coordinator in your region and/or the Manager of Training and Quality Assurance — we’re here to ensure that your team has a positive experience!

Your Health Space requires a minimum of 3 participants to move forward with a training unless other arrangements are made in advance. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a scheduled training where the minimum participant threshold cannot be met.

While Your Health Space does not currently set a maximum number of participants in each training, the optimal number of participants depends on a variety of factors, including the size of your organization, the training topic, and whether the training will be delivered in-person or virtually. We usually advise 25-30 participants, but can make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Please complete the online request form to begin the registration process, or Contact Us to be connected with the Regional Coordinator in your area to learn more about how we can accommodate your team.

A request form for a Certificate of Completion is available at the end of each training session’s evaluation form. Certificates are sent to the email address provided and may, due to the volume of participants, be sent up to one month from the date of the training session.
