Kim Turley-Smith

I am an early-career paramedic who combined my authentic interests in health and wellness with a dedication to quality programming and education, creating one of Canada’s largest health and wellness event companies. With a Master of Education, I specialize in using evidence-based approaches to translate and apply what we know about health and wellness – using both cultural and developmental lenses to develop and deliver curriculum that meets the unique needs of different sectors and populations. For over 15 years, I have created and led immersive, experience-driven wellness events, workshops and programs across sectors including health care, education, leadership, athletics, municipalities, corporate environments, families, and private groups. I am continually motivated and inspired by the science of human connection for well-being; connection to the world around us, connection to each other, and connection to ourselves.

Holding an Advisor Certificate in Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, I am deeply committed to supporting well-being initiatives at work. In my role with Your Health Space, I consider it a true honour to support health care organizations and their staff in the journey toward well-being through psychoeducational initiatives and strategic implementation of the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. I truly believe that despite systemic challenges, meaningful, sustainable health care worker wellbeing is possible.

As a mindfulness teacher in MBSR and other programs, I bring a holistic, strengths-based lens, helping individuals and organizations build practices that are both evidence-based and deeply human. Outside of work, these days you can find me continually remembering to be where my feet are, getting lost in the forest or on a pickleball court – practices that keep me grounded, energized, and joyful.
